Emma Shea, APR
Founder & Senior StrategistWith 15 years of experience in strategic planning, implementation and management of communication and engagement programs, including with Indigenous communities, I have weathered a few storms at this stage of my career and carry a proud portfolio. Not to mention a book full of stories and lessons learned that I’ll write one day from the beach during retirement.
Working with clients and communities on sensitive, high-risk and often highly emotional communication issues is what I do – I work well in the trenches. Experience, matched with training, has given me a unique skill set that will help you identify risks and gaps in your communication and consultation processes. I help navigate a risk-assessment approach to project planning, and then dive in to begin process improvements and develop solutions for effective engagement and communication tailored for the project, and the audience.
I’ve worked in the non-profit, private and public sectors as both as an in-house specialist and as an outside strategic consultant. Managing and mentoring teams is one of the best parts of the job. I’m a big picture thinker with a “get-it-done” attitude. Let’s get to work!
